1. Ok, I'm here and you're here, so why not tell me a little about yourself? I won't bite I promise!
...Bite? D:
-Clears throat-
* I'm a writer, obviously. Have been for quite a few years now. It is one of the few things in this world that I am incredibly passionate about. :3 I can not imagine my life without the many worlds of words and imagination.
* I love all sorts of different genre's, but my favorite stories to read + write about are: romance, horror, fantasy, and stories about anti-uptopia's and dystopia's. I also love comedy, but moreos of the satirical, dry variety.
* What more is there to say?
2. Interesting! Now that I know you better we can proceed. When did you first discover you had a talent for writing?
When I was nine-years-old, but I've been coming up with characters and stories ever since I was very little. I've always loved stories and books. I can't walk into a room without there being a novel--or fifty--right in front of me. Not joke.
I grew up in a family with a very strong line of 'bookworms', so mayeb it's only to be expected?
Anyways, it was when I was nine-years-old that I started to pen stories down, because my best friend
3. Do you prefer stories, poems, commentaries, or would you consider yourself a 'jack of all trades'?
I suppose a 'Jack of all trades', although I focus much of my energy and time on fictional stories, rather than poems or commentaries.
4. When you write something that you do share with others, is it for their benefit or your own? Simply put, do you write for others or for yourself?
I started writing stories because I wanted to entertain myself, and have something from my imagination become tangible--there, right in front of me, in existence.
I tend to write more for myself--I always write the sort of stories that I would love to read--but I also try to write stories in a way so that other people can read them, and get something out of it. A feeling, a new idea, or just simple entertainment. :3
5. Give me a small example of your writing. A simple pararaph or verse will do nicely!
-Makes it up on the spot. Improv! XDD-
''I've failed him.'' She buried her face into her hands, her sobs like tremors, shaking her body inside and out. How could she have let it get this far?
Her duty was split between her husband and her son, and although she loved both, she knew that it was her son that needed her the most--needed her to stand up, snatch the money from her husbands hands, and say the words that needed to be said: enough is enough.
Her shoulders shook at the thought. ''I'm a horrible mother...!''
She felt a tiny hand, cold like ice, but soft as velvet, touch her hand.
''Mommy?''
She gasped, lowering her hands enough to gaze down at her son. Her sight was blurred from the tears that clung to her eyelashes, but even through the blur, she could make out the confused expression on her sons round face. When she thought of all the times she had let him down in his life time, and how frequent those times seemed to be, it made her want to cry harder. But when she looked into those aqua eyes and saw the hope that glimmered within those hopeful pools, she knew that it wasn't too late. There was still time to make amends and to fix things for the better.
She smiled down at her son through her tears, and hoisted him up into her arms. Vincent buried his face into her bosom, his tiny hands clutching at her. She kisses his forehead and whispered into his ear, ''Don't worry anymore, Vincent. I'll take you away from this. It'll all be better in the morning.''
6. Artists and writers tend to think less of themselves than their fans do. Does their opinion have any kind of impact on your writing positive or negative?
Yes, I believe that it has both a concious and self-concious impact. I'm open to critique, and I frequently encourage it. I want to improve my skills as a writer, and I can only do so with open, honest feedback.
7. Is your writing geared towards the profession or simply as a hobby?
Both. It started as something wicked fun to do--and it's still fun--but I want to take it to the next level. Someday, I'd like to be a published author/novelist. So, ergo, both. 8D
8. Have, or would you consider allowing an artists to add their artwork to your work if it would improve the overall effect on the viewer?
Sure. Why not?
I'd love to have someone draw their interpretation of my characters/scenes and add it in. That'd be a very exciting experiance, and it would probably appeal to some, if not a lot, of readers too, seeing as people love visuals.
So, if anyone wants to just note me or something. XDD
9. As I'm sure you are aware, there are a lot of budding artists out there. What advice would you give them about potential critics of their work?
I'd tell them something that I knew a long time ago but have only truly learned in the past few years.
When someone gives you constructive criticism, it's not to deflate your ego, or to make you feel bad. When someone tells you straight-on what you should work on to make your writing more effective, it's because they want you to get better. They wouldn't waste their time if they didn't care in the slightest.
It's only when people write things like '' U SUCK!'' that's meant to bring you down. But don't let it. Ignore them, don't give them the satisfaction, and move on.
Also, while I think it's important for a writer to trust themselves and their opinion of what they write, I think it's also important for them to be open to other people's critique. Other people has a fresh mind/eye when it comes to things you write. They might point out things that you'd never noticed yourself that could be altered, and as a result, it might improve the story. : )
Also, PRACTICE! The more you write and the more you read--and no, I don't mean Teen magazines...I mean actual books/articles-- the better at writing you'll get.
10. Now for the fun part. You get to tag 3 writers to torment just as I have tormented you!

I like number 4. I'm like that too...I'd possibly be a romance writer if I didn't have some watchers that preferred action and fight scenes better.
Hehe, *showers you with compliments* You're better than you know, you know.
Powerful message, that number 9.

Niiiiiiiice.
I'm a total romance person @___@ I CAN write action and fight scenes *or at least I hope I can...* but I'm the type of reader/writer who gets her kicks out of the characters themselves and their developement through out the plot. >.> Hence why I prefer drama, comedy, romance, and stuff.
And since I'm also a morbid idiot who might actually one day show that side on here--horror/thriller too. XD;;
