'Allo.

I'm sorry this account has been sorta dead-ish in terms of updates for the last 15-16 weeks or so (I hope you've all been well :3). I started University a few months ago. University is a complete and utter time and energy leech. On the bright side, I like a lot of my classes and have met some very cool people with a lot of the same interests and fandoms as I. Also, I think I've found what field/s I would like to go into for a possible career. (Those fields would be: Sociology and Media Studies). I'm finally finding some sort of direction and reason to be here. The downsides to University are not even worth acknowledging. Hey, still better than High School. I'm eternally amazed and estatic that there is no bell here to command us. I swear, school bells incite intense rage.

All right, point-form updating time!

* MFY chapter 26 is half finished. What I mean by half finished is that there are currently 17 pages written, and there's still a lot left to go. It's a long chapter (or maybe I just percieve it to be.) Aside from my usual procastinationn issues, University takes loads of energy and time away from personal writing, which is why it's taking too long for this chapter. Long chapter + even less time to work on it = Writer fail.

But, on the positive side, the first half of the chapter will be posted this weekend. I just have to edit and revise it today and tomorrow, and then it should be good to go. (Hopefully without having to make any major changes as I write the last part of the chapter. That would ultimately suck.)

_{With Winter break quickly coming up I'll have a lot more time and energy to write. I'll have to do my best to churn out a chapter to make up for the major slack going on. Did I mention that my winter break is a month long, and that my summer one is practically 3-4 months? >:3}

* The Voice Meme I had a poll about will happen. I'm just waiting on it for now. I've attempted the meme 40 times and have completed it at least twice. :' Problem is that I attempted it while I was coming out of a bad cold, so sometimes I would cough, and it just overall... meh (I'm still coughing quite a bit. Not fun. I don't think you guys want to hear me be sick.). So, after both parts of MFY 26 are posted, I'll attempt the Voice meme again and post it. Look forward to that this coming December! _{What better a way to celebrate the winter holidays then by laughing at my accent?}

ARTIST PIMPING:

is an amazing artist. I cannot stress this enough. She has amazing skill with anatomy and posing, colour, design, and character design. Each and everytime she updates and posts more art, I always end up getting very giddy and excited, which then translates into complete and utter fan-rambling in the comment sections. xD Her pieces range from very sober and heart-wrenching to light-hearted and silly. Also, for BL lovers out there, a lot of her gallery includes BL, particularly of her OC couple Torin and Kage (who are amazing in and of themselves), but her entire gallery is very impressive. She is definitely a DArtist that deserves more recognition for all of the hardwork she does. Check out her gallery! You won't regret it.

I just realized something. I've had this account for about three years, and write and post a lot of BL on this site, but I don't think I've ever had a journal dedicated to just talking about BL in general [or even GLBT fiction, even]. Which I kinda find both weird and oddly amusing. xD

I'm also curious about a few things, mainly to do with you guys. How'd you guys get into this fandom/interest/genre? What're your all-time favourites? Do you like any of the new stuff out there these days? Do you have trouble finding anything within the genre that really tickles your fancy?

Just curious. I love asking people questions. That, and I don't think I've ever really seen many BL writers/artists on DA really talk about it, aside from one particular series or an issue that they have.

But I don't want this to be completely one-sided and have it be just me asking all of you guys questions so that I can be all vague and mysterious. So, I guess I'll answer my own questions in the hopes that you guys will reciprocate? I'll try and make this as organized and neat as possible. : )

BL Fandoming Yay!

1) I got into it at 12-13 years old, when my BFF Chloe showed me this webcomic she was reading at the time. It was the first time I'd ever seen a homosexual couple/pairing, and, needless to say, it intrigued me. xD In case any of you want to see which webcomic it was, it's this one: [link] Unfortunately, it never finished. : / But it's still a wicked read. The author also left a few pages describing the rest of the plot of the ending, which is far better than nothing.

2) My all-time favourite is FAKE by Sanami Matoh.
Friends showed it to me during grade eight, and, well...ahem. Yes. xD I've adored it ever since. I've reread/watched the entire series--including Like, Like Love, FAKE II, and the OVA--several times. I could go on for several paragraphs as to why this series is so badass, but the work speaks for itself.

3) I like some of the new stuff. I can't really resist Junjou Romantica and the like. They're too cute and colourful and entertaining; they're fun. I'm also pretty damn excited for the remake of Ai no Kusabi. : D

4) I'm kinda picky, so I have loads of trouble finding stuff that really grabs my attention and keeps it. But there's some amazing stuff out there, when you search hard enough.

I got sick of seeing at the other journal. xD

Had an awesome couple of weeks. : ) It was very nice to see friends on and off, play games with them, see fireworks, and do some shopping. Lots of book shopping. Because I'm the type that, even though 9 unread books sit on my nightstand and wait for my attention, I still actively seek out new books, get them, and add them to the forever growing stack.

I find; I collect. Ergo: I need another shelf.
Also, my Inu Yasha plushie no longer has any room on the manga section. Poor fella. D:
I need to get a Kouga plushie sometime, too. Because I love Kouga.
_{And Kouga/Inu Yasha, but that's not the point. -Shifty eyes-}

The computer I'm currently on used to suck. A lot. But it's all better now! It was just full of dust. : D Other than that, I finally named it Wilson. So that when it does something I don't want it to I can shout, "Wiiiiilsooooon!" and have it sound awesome and not _too stupid.

Okay! Recent events and up-coming stuff!

* I finished High School:
My final year is now forever gone. And I don't know how to feel.
High school wasn't exactly rainbows and butterflies, from beginning to end. In fact, there were a good few times where I seriously thought I wouldn't make it through, for whatever reason at the time, and I don't just mean academically. But I did, and that's more than I expected, so yay.
In any case, I'm now free! ...Until this coming September.
:' D

* Prom/After-Prom parties:
Was fun. : 3 Not exactly what I was expecting, but it was still good.
A little bittersweet, naturally. Mainly because it was a couple of hours with a bunch of people I'm 100% sure I'll never see again [aside from my friends]. In some cases, that's fucking marvelous. In others, it's, well...yeah. Oh well. Not a new feeling. I'm no stranger to immense, all-at-once loss.
Still, keeping up with positives, prom was pretty fun in a silly "don't even think about afterwards" kinda way. Lots of pictures, too. Then we stayed up uber-late, played Wii, etc, etc. Jen and Brody also gave me five 80s/90s NIN tapes that they'd found as a sort of gift. Which, I must say, is pretty kickass. I can't express my gratitude enough! I just need to get ahold of a tape player, and I'm all set.

* Graduation
Was long. But kinda awesome, in its own way. Mainly because of all of the secret and weird conversations you have with everyone while waiting to actually get the diplomas.
Oh well. I graduated with Honors. TAKE THAT, SYSTEM. KISS IT. >D
